Biografía

After moving to America at the age of three, Ali grew up in a small town in Northern Utah. Her first job was cleaning the facilities at her dad’s manufacturing shop. From this background, she personally understands how important workplace safety is in making sure all workers go home to their families.

Ali attended the University of Utah where she studied theatre. Some of her notable academic achievements include the Dean’s List and a Department of Theatre Scholarship. Towards the end of her undergraduate education, Ali felt an indescribable pull toward the legal field. So, she changed her path and applied to law school.

Unlike many lawyers, Ali is the first lawyer in her family as well as the first to receive a doctorate degree. She was extremely involved in various clubs and service groups during law school, held numerous leadership positions, and externed for The Honorable Paige Petersen on the Supreme Court of Utah. Ali was also an Associate Editor on the BYU Law Review and served on the BYU Law Review Editorial Board as the Managing Editor of Publication. Upon graduation, Ali received the Wendy C. Archibald Meritorious Service Award.

Ali found her passion for litigation during law school. She was one of her school’s top trial competitors. During her second year, her team was the Regional Champion of the Texas Young Lawyers’ Association Trial Competition and went on to become a National Semi-Finalist at the National Trial Competition. Due to her team’s success the prior year, as a third-year law student, her team was invited to participate in the Tournament of Champions (for the first time in BYU’s history). She also received a National Institute of Trial Advocacy Certification.

Ali started working with Arnold & Itkin as a law clerk during her last semester in law school. After she passed the bar exam, she continued with the firm first in Utah and then moved to Houston to take on a new role as a Trial Attorney––her dream job.

Ali fights tirelessly for people all over the country who have suffered life-changing injuries. Her practice focuses primarily on catastrophic workplace injuries, maritime and offshore accidents, wrongful death, product defect and strict products liability, catastrophic commercial vehicle accidents, and premises liability. Whatever the case may be, Ali never backs down from a challenge.

Ali believes in a “work hard, play hard” approach to life. After a long day’s work, she loves spending valuable time cooking with her husband, Jon, and taking their dog on walks.
